Paint Memphis, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing art to the streets to give access to everyone, will hold their annual paint festival on October 3, 2026, on Broad Avenue between Summer and Holmes in the heart of the Heights Neighborhood.
Paint Memphis will return to its 2025 location, with Renee Hodges as executive director, to create over 50 murals during this year's festival, which will run from noon to 6 pm. The festivities commence with a free hands-on mural workshop and community mural from 1-3 pm, led by artist, Rattlesnake Betty, with her unique design. The entire block will come alive with artisan vendors, an immersive kids' area where young artists can create their own masterpieces, an array of food trucks, and live painting by national and local artists.
This area will serve as a canvas for local and international artists to showcase their talents through large-scale murals on the giant retaining wall that runs along the bicycle lane on Broad Avenue between Summer Avenue and Holmes. Among the esteemed artists participating in this year's event are Carlos Valverde, Erica Chisolm, Isai de Leon, Francisco Gonzales, Megan Farrell, Nathan Delinois, and so many more.
